Shipping Policy

Thank you for visiting and shopping at Atlas Gear. Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.

Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing time

We get that you once you’ve placed your order, you’re keen on getting the gear. We work as quickly as possible to make that happen. We work with our suppliers as closely as possible in order to get your gear to you ASAP. Givi and Oxford products ordered before 10:00AM will be shipped from our distribution centre in Johannesburg on the same day.  We use Courier Guy as our door-to-door delivery service. All orders are processed within 2-3 working days and some products may take 3-5 working days to dispatch due to turn-around and handling times. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or public holidays.

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days, this is rare and will be communicated to you. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. We offer free shipping to orders over R2500. 

Shipping charges range from R85 to a maximum of R250 for very large items or for deliveries in rural areas. All our shipments use the “economy” service, this does not include insurance on the item. Should you require a faster shipping service or would like to upgrade your service please contact our support team.

Courier Guy Shipping methods explained

Our business days are Monday – Friday, Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays are excluded as business days. In our experience, Courier Guy generally delivers packages 24 – 48 hours after dispatch from Atlas Gear (Our Gear hub and distribution centre). All shipping and transportation times are estimates and are subject to change. If you require an alternative shipping method or would like to discuss the specifics of your delivery, please feel free to get in contact via our online chat, email, WhatsApp or by phone.

Shipping changes: in the event that a change should be required we will need the new delivery information as quickly as possible. The sooner you send us the information the quicker we can amend the delivery. If the order has already been dispatched the first given address is where the order will be delivered to.

Courier Guy Shipping methods explained

Typically, Courier guy delivers your order within 24-48 hours, this is subject to change and might not always be the case. Deliveries are done “Door to Door” and a customer signature is required upon delivery. If you are not able to sign for the delivery yourself, please provide us with the information of the person receiving the order. If you require your order sooner, please contact our customer service team to arrange alternative shipping methods.

* Overnight delivery is only available for orders with delivery addresses within the borders of South Africa.

**Delivery delays can occasionally occur, and you will be notified if this occurs.

Shipment to P.O. boxes

Atlas Gear ships to physical addresses within the borders of South Africa. Should you require a P.O. Box delivery this will have to be arranged with our Customer Service team. Although this is possible, additional charges will apply.

Shipment confirmation & Order tracking

You will receive a Shipment Confirmation email once your order has shipped containing your tracking number(s). The tracking number will be active within 24 hours.

Damages

Atlas Gear is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. However, if you received your order damaged, please contact our customer service team asap. If possible, please keep all packaging and take a couple of photos of the damaged product. This will give our customer service team a better indication of where things went wrong and will allow us to assess and advise you on how to move forward. We will do our best to facilitate the claims process via Courier Guy. You, the customer, is responsible for the cost of the return of the product. You will receive an invoice for this from Atlas Gear, should you have credit with Atlas Gear this cost will be deducted from your account in order to make the returns process as easy and efficient as possible.

STORE NOTICE

Due to the nationwide Lockdown in effect from the 27th of March till the 16th April.


We will be unable to fulfil any orders from the 26th March onwards. 

Any orders received over the shutdown period will be processed and shipped on the 17th of April.
